The official Facebook app ( 35 MB ) eats up a lot storage on your Android phones.specially those having low internal storage If you wish to ditch the heavy app, there’s another lite version available for you.But not available in most of the countries including India too.The company has launched a new Facebook Lite app which is specially designed for slower 2G networks and for lesser data usage. At this time, Facebook Lite app is only available in Play Store for selected countries- Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Zimbabwe, and more countries are expected to be added soon.

There are few other alternatives of Facebook Lite available, but this official app provides native Android alerts. This app consumes lower system space and the APK file is just 251KB ( and that is what I was searching in the app for a long time ). Also, this is better that the Facebook experience on your mobile browser. This offers a faster install, better data management and quicker load times.
